Allianz Cornhill Engineering has seen an increase in its annual gross written premium of 35%. According to the company this is largely down to the growth of its construction account, reflecting the strong recovery in industrial construction - up 17.1% in the first half of 2004. Martin Ball, underwriting and operations manager for Allianz Cornhill Engineering, stated: "There are business opportunities that insurance brokers could explore if they turned engineering insurance into a front-of-mind
