SSP report 'encouraging' start to financial year

At Software Solution Partners (SSP) 2007 Annual General Meeting, David Rasche, executive chairman, commentd: "I am pleased to report that SSP has made an encouraging start to the financial year and trading is in line with management expectations. We have maintained the high quality of revenues across all four divisions at attractive margins."

Mr Rasche added: "The integration of the recently acquired businesses, CSC's African I90 insurance systems business and Sirius Financial Solutions Plc, has gone smoothly. Following the acquisition of Sirius in July 2007, our largest acquisition to date, we have developed a new brand identity, revised the divisional operating structure and senior management team accordingly and made encouraging progress towards achieving the expected operational efficiency savings for this year and beyond.

ABI records 3% home premiums rise in Q1

Average home insurance premiums for buildings and contents cover rose by 3% to £375 in the first quarter of this year, pushing the year-on-year rise up to 19%, according to the Association of British Insurers.
