Growth in online commercial trading is creating an efficient market, Aviva’s regional broker director Gareth Hemming tells Martin Friel
In April this year, Aviva’s regional broker director made a startling announcement. Gareth Hemming claimed that the insurer was now transacting 90% of its packaged commercial products online. One could argue that they should be trading all of them online but what was particularly noteworthy was that this milestone had been achieved, from a standing start, in a two year period.
