Dave Clapp sets £250m three-year target for MVP and Ataraxia
Dave Clapp, CEO of Minority Venture Partners and Ataraxia, has unveiled a £250m gross written premium target for the broker investment group over the next three years.
When Clapp came on board last year, as revealed by Insurance Age, the business had 26 investments and in the region of £120m of GWP. This has now grown to 30 and just shy of £150m he calculated as he accepted the three-year goal was “very ambitious”.
The group will have to do “around £35m of new deals a year” to reach the target and is on track this year with eight going through the legal process at the moment, he noted.
