Biba 2018: Brexit – what next for brokers?

Experts share their views on the challenges for insurance, government infighting, transition periods and how brokers can start preparing now.

Brokers should be preparing for Brexit and analysing their customers’ exposure to the European Union, according to a panel at Biba 2018.

A recent survey of Biba members found 63% have concerns about Brexit and 88% of this group worry about losing passporting rights.

Ian Cooper, partner and head of regional business at Lockton and chair of the broker’s Brexit Committee warned the audience: “If as an industry we get this wrong it has some serious and grave consequences.”

Biba 2024: FCA to take its time on transparency proposals
