Former US secretary of state Madeleine Albright described cyber risk as an inevitable consequence of global technological development in a period of “chronic uncertainty” around the world.

Madeleine Albright, the revered ex-politician, who in 1997 became the first female secretary of state and - at the time - the highest ranking woman in the history of the US government, was the keynote speaker at the 2015 Applied Net conference in Las Vegas.

She began by linking the world of politics and business.
