It’s sometimes hard to identify key things from a year, but 2016 has been different.

We’ve had some “once in a lifetime” moments; we’ve also had some “why don’t we ever learn” moments.

June saw the referendum on Brexit, the outcome of which was a major surprise.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
