CII New Generation Group outlines guidance for dealing with vulnerable customers
CII urges brokers to use the document as a checklist to ensure best practice.
Vulnerable customers require special consideration from the insurance profession, according to a new report from the Chartered Insurance Institute's (CII) Underwriting Faculty New Generation Group.
The report, Customer Vulnerability - How well is insurance responding?, is the culmination of 18 months of research.
The New Generation Group found examples of good practice and recent improvements in this space but the report also highlighted that there remain areas to be addressed.
