InsurTech Futures: Apple makes cyber insurance move

Reports say the technology firm has teamed up with Cisco to help businesses get a discount on cyber insurance.

Apple has announced it is working with Cisco to help businesses which use both technology brands to get a discount on their cyber insurance premiums.

Reuters reported that Apple CEO Tim Cook said this week that using combination of gear from the two companies was more secure than the use of competing technology.

Cook stated: “The thinking we share here is that if your enterprise or company is using Cisco and Apple, the combination of these should make that (cyber-security) insurance cost
