Verdict

Chris Howell, MD of Seaway Insurance, comments: “With the exception of the commission paid which I find a bit limiting, the product looks good and I have seen the adverts on TV. LV claims an average price under £350 for their insured, but I wonder what they base this information on? The key benefits sound promising but, as with any product, the proof of the pudding will be in the taste. Unless the underwriting is exceptionally good, I have to say I see nothing that will push the product past its competition. It could appear on top of the software list of course, and this would help.”
