Ombudsman investigates 4,683 CMC complaints

The Legal Ombudsman is marking two years of dealing with claims management companies.

The Legal Ombudsman has revealed that it has accepted 4,683 complaints about claims management companies (CMCs) for investigation since it started dealing with the issue two years ago.

The organisation stated that 23,000 consumers made contact with about CMCs in the first year while a further 32,000 got in touch the following year.

Kathryn Stone, chief ombudsman said: "The Legal Ombudsman has made a difference to hundreds of people's lives over the last two years, investigating the service
