Brightside Group v RSM UK Audit continues in court

Broker awarded costs as RSM UK’s application is dismissed.

The legal argument between Brightside and its former auditors RSM UK has continued today (9 January 2017) at the High Court of Justice - Admiralty and Commercial Court in London.

The case was first reported on 25 November last year.

The wider dispute is believed to centre on audit and due diligence work undertaken by RSM UK, formerly known as Baker Tilley between 2011-2013.

RSM UK resigned as Brightside's auditors in November 2015.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
