CMA launches study into digital comparison tools
Review to look at home insurance sold through digital tools such as price comparison websites and smartphone apps.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has launched a study into digital comparison tools (DCT) enabling consumers to compare products and services on quality as well as price.
The CMA detailed that these tools range from price comparison websites to smartphone apps and that one of the sectors to be reviewed is home insurance.
It stated that its reviews of sectors such as private motor insurance, energy and banking had highlighted how these tools can play an important role increasing
