Fresh turnover grows to £11.2m

Up from £8.3m in 2014 and operating profit increases to £1.7m.

Fresh Insurance has grown its turnover to £11.2m for the year ending 31 July 2015, up from £8.3m the previous year.

The broker also saw its operating profit increase from £792,200 to £1.7m - growth that the directors put down to cost and efficiency measures. Administrative expenses went up from £7.5m to £9.5m.

The firm noted that commissions and fees as a percentage of GWP actually fell slightly (from 24% to 22%) compared to 2014 as the company felt the effects of "competitive forces in the car

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
