Pen Underwriting looking at further acquisitions

Managing director Mark Armitage also says new underwriting areas being developed.

Mark Armitage, Pen Underwriting managing director, has told Insurance Age that the original aims behind the creation of the brand are still driving it forward following the addition of OIM Underwriting.

The delegated authority specialist has been rebranded and become part of Pen Underwriting creating a £500m gross written premium business.

Asked what the brand delivers, Armitage responded: "There are four things that I'm hanging my hat around.
