Gang found guilty of conspiracy to defraud
The six men tried to defraud the UK insurance industry of £5.6m.
An organised criminal gang of six men, who tried to defraud the UK insurance industry of £5.6m, have been found guilty of conspiracy to defraud following a five-week trial at Isleworth Crown Court.
The six men, who will be sentenced on 2 October 2015, also carried out crash-for-cash insurance fraud.
The convictions follow an investigation by the Metropolitan Police Service supported by Zurich Insurance, Direct Line Insurance Group and the Insurance Fraud Bureau.
