Finch buys two brokers

The firm's acquisition of Paul Jones and Atwoods takes its GWP up to £20m.

Finch Commercial Insurance Brokers has made two acquisitions in the last three months taking the business's gross written premium (GWP) up to £20m, Insurance Age can reveal.

The firm said it bought Paul Jones Insurance Services, which has offices in Southampton and in the Isle of Wight, on 1 July and both branches will be maintained along with 13 full- and part-time staff in their current roles.

Paul Jones is a Willis Network member which places £3.4m of GWP through the network, and its outgoing

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
