Duncan Coleman, managing director, reveals they are hoping for more acquisitions as M B Mulcahy deals takes GWP up to around £22m.

Green Insurance is planning to make more acquisitions in London at the South East following its purchase of M B Mulcahy, as revealed by Insurance Age.

Managing director, Duncan Coleman, said that the purchase had taken Green Insurance GWP up to around £22m and confirmed that the business was seeking to buy more brokers.

Coleman commented: "We wanted to develop into London for some time and this [the M B Mulcahy buy] gives us a nice base to do that in a nice area.

"SW19 is a good post code area

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
