Thomas Carroll takes three from Towergate

Broker appoints team in Wales to deliver services to businesses.

Thomas Carroll has appointed a team of three brokers to look after the Rhondda Cynan Taf area, reporting into the Caerphilly office, to deliver services to local businesses.

The new recruits come from Towergate group companies and are Richard Williams of Aberdare, who joins from Underwoods, together with Brendan Hopkins and Richard Bosley who both worked for CCV.

Williams and Hopkins join as account executives with Bosley appointed as an account broker.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
