Zurich’s Ian McManus to move to Aon

Insurer’s personal lines broker boss to become private clients proposition leader at broker.

Ian McManus, head of personal lines broker at Zurich is to leave the insurer at the end of the month and join Aon in May, Insurance Age can reveal.

McManus has been with the provider since October 2003 joining from Axa as an account executive.

Over the following 11 years and seven months he progressed through posts such as area sales manager, partnership solutions manager and head of partnerships and portfolio management.

He took up his current position in November 2011.

McManus is set to join

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
