ERS appoints Rees as head of underwriting fraud

ERS has appointed Linda Rees as head of underwriting fraud in what the insurer calls the "next stage in its fight against fraud".

Rees has worked in the insurance industry for 19 years and most recently held the role of intelligence and organised fraud manager at LV.

She has previously worked at the Insurance Fraud Bureau, as well as RBS, Groupama and Axa.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
