Broker Expo 2014: ‘Use social media to reach customers’, says Hiscox

Insurer calls on brokers to use online data and social media to get ahead in the market.

Brokers should be using social media to advertise schemes, according to Hiscox.

Speaking at Insurance Age's Broker Expo 2014 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, Darren Power, national scheme sales executive at Hiscox, pointed out that it was important for insurers and brokers to go along with the changing demographic and use it to their advantage.

Power said: "A whole new market has been created. The technology is cheap and shareable and the market is the youth of today."
