Peterborough-based brokers buys book of business following Richard Kiddle’s death.

Henderson Insurance Brokers (HIBL) has announced that it has bought Richard Kiddle Insurance Brokers for an undisclosed sum following the death of founder, Richard Kiddle.

The sale means that HIBL now looks after a book of business approaching £10m in premium value.

HIBL said that the sale decision was made by Kiddle's widow, Ginnie, who was keen to ensure that clients of Richard Kiddle Insurance Brokers would continue to be looked after in a way that her husband would have approved of

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
