IBSC welcomes Biba code of conduct proposals

Body differs in need for individuals to define professional conduct.

Paul Anscombe, chair of the Insurance Brokers Standards Council (IBSC), has welcomed the announcement by the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) of the creation of a working group to develop a voluntary code of conduct.

However Anscombe also commented that the IBSC would continue its work due to its different approach to the issues.

"The IBSC wants to see standards and practise being defined and anything that takes us as a profession towards that is good," he said.
