Gresham appoints Collman as chief underwriting officer

MGA’s new chief steps across from Arista.

Gresham Underwriting has appointed Tony Collman as chief underwriting officer.

He joins from Arista where he was head of liability.

Gresham, which is an MGA and part of Tasker Insurance Group, stated that Collman brings over 25 years' experience to the position.

He has also previously worked at Chartis and NIG.

Collman said: "The reason I accepted the role with Gresham was purely down to the management team and their ambitions for the company.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
