Marsh appoints Canniffe and Kershaw to affinity and placement roles

Canniffe joins from BGL and Kershaw comes on board from Towergate.

Marsh has appointed Mike Canniffe as UK affinity leader and Paul Kershaw as placement and proposition leader in its UK consumer and commercial practice.

Both men have been tasked with focusing on client engagement and developing the broker's relationships with insurers, and product innovation.

Canniffe will be responsible for the strategic development of Marsh's affinity proposition, building on existing business and expanding the firm's distribution and product channels.

He joins from BGL

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
