Lloyd's broker forced to sell corporate risks division

Firm says interest in remaining divisions did not result in a sale.

Independent Lloyd’s broker Priest & Co has been forced to sell its corporate risks division after the company slipped into administration, sister title Post has reported.

The broker has appointed administrators from Begbies Traynor.

A statement from the administrator, sent to Post read: "Following the administrators' appointment on 13 May 2014, the administrators sold the corporate risks division (being one of the three divisions that the company operated) to a third party.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
