Hillon upbeat on Co-op GI growth plans

Director admits sales plans led to shock and anger.

General insurance (GI) director at the Co-operative, James Hillon, has declared that the GI results for 2013 are a sign of momentum for the business.

"The continued strong performance of our home insurance business is one that we are really proud of," he reported adding that the improvement in the underlying performance of its motor insurance business had also impacted on the figures.

"We have taken action to begin to turn it around through improved pricing, better underwriting, better fraud

Applied updates on commercial push

Applied Systems has confirmed Arch Insurance is about to enter the pilot phase of onboarding and will be live on the Applied Epic broker management system in April, with Iprism and Ark to follow and more promised in 2024.
