Towers Watson reveals new global brokerage leader

Towers Watson has appointed Ross Howard as global leader for its insurance and reinsurance brokerage business.

Mr Howard - who boasts more than 35 years experience in the reinsurance brokerage industry - will focus on client and market relationship development.

He will officially begin on 1 October 2012 on replacing Bill Eyre who spent 14 years in the position.

Mr Eyre will now concentrate on expanding existing client relationships globally, as well as develop new prospects.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
