Keelan Westall launches unoccupied commercial property cover
Keelan Westall has launched Agility Commercial designed to protect vacant commercial properties from damage caused by vandalism, flooding, fire or squatters.
The Hampshire-based wholesale broker claimed the move was intended to meet the needs of brokers with an estimated 900,000 unoccupied commercial properties in the UK.
Wayne Tonge, managing director at Keelan Westall, commented: "Insuring vacant properties can be difficult.
"The risk of damage due to vandalism, flooding or fire is greater and the building is more liable to squatters moving in and causing damage to an empty property.
