RBSI explains rebrand to Direct Line

RBS Insurance has confirmed recent press reports of its rebrand as Direct Line Group in preparation of its split from the banking arm of RBS.

As previously reported, under the terms of the European Union's approval of RBS' bailout in 2008, the insurance arm must be removed from RBS Group by the end of 2013 and disposed of by the end of 2014.

Direct Line Group will include Direct Line, Churchill, Privilege and broker-only business NIG, all of which will retain their brand identities.

Applied updates on commercial push

Applied Systems has confirmed Arch Insurance is about to enter the pilot phase of onboarding and will be live on the Applied Epic broker management system in April, with Iprism and Ark to follow and more promised in 2024.
