Scottish broker makes Edinburgh acquisition
Central Insurance has completed its second acquisition of the year with the purchase of Edinburgh-based Castle Cairn Insurance Brokers.
The deal, worth £2.3m, boosts Central’s premium placement into the UK insurance market to more than £60m, placing the firm among the top 10 independent brokers in the UK.
The takeover follows the establishment by the Aberdeen-based broker of an office in Glasgow in 2010.
