Parabis Law has merged with Everatt & Company, creating what they claim to be a £100m plus turnover business with more than 60 partners.
The merger has brought together Parabis Law's two specialist insurance law firms, Plexus Law and Cogent Law, with Everatt & Company.
From February, Everatt will trade as Plexus Law. The combined firms employ more than 1,000 people.
Both Plexus Law and Everatt said they already sit alongside each other on the legal adviser panels of several large insurers handling UK work along a number of insurance lines including professional indemnity, employers' liability, public liability, occupational disease and motor claims.
Tim Oliver, senior partner at Plexus Law, commented: "There is growing pressure on firms to continue to deliver the highest levels of quality and service, often across an increased number of business lines.
"We believe that joining with Everatt & Company is a natural step that ensures we have the capability and experience immediately available to handle the new work we are both aiming to secure in a very competitive market, in addition to all existing business."
Nick Yates, senior partner at Everatt & Company, added: "These are exciting times. This is going to be a great partnership. The combined strength of the new business means it is exceptionally well placed to meet the needs of our clients across the board."
