Marsh has appointed Richard Lloyd as head of its national corporate business in Carlisle and Newcastle, which provide risk and insurance advice for mid to large size corporates throughout the North of England.
He succeeds Allan McPherson, who is now Marsh’s UK national corporate sales leader.
Mr Lloyd has worked for Marsh for two years and joins from the firm’s Manchester office. He has worked in the insurance industry for over 15 years, both in the UK and Australia.
Commenting on Mr Lloyd’s appointment, Paul Fairhurst, leader of Marsh’s northern region, said: “More and more organisations, both in the public and private sectors, are realising the value that robust risk management and insurance provision can deliver, in terms of enhanced corporate governance, regulatory compliance and efficiency savings. Richard will play a pivotal role in assisting Marsh’s clients in the North of England develop their risk and insurance strategies and contribute to their continued success.”
Mr Lloyd added: “Any organisation, regardless of size or sector, can reap the benefits of good risk management and, as a result of the recession, it should no longer be reserved to global enterprises.
