Arag service comes out on top in legal expenses insurer questionnaire
Brokers have voted Arag the best legal expenses insurer (LEI) in terms of overall service in a survey by Insurance Age's sister industry insight unit Insurance 360.
In the survey, which focused on the five most-used LEIs - Abbey Legal, Allianz Legal Protection, Arag, DAS and MSL - four of the five main providers proved to be fairly comparable.
However, Peter Joy, principal of Insurance 360, said that Arag was "something of a revelation", scoring 80% for overall service while on underwriting skills, documentation, legal advice and quality of cover it did even better.
In terms of overall service, MSL came second to Arag with 72% followed by Allianz Legal
