Axa completes sale of UK life business

Axa UK has confirmed the sale of the majority of its life business to Resolution for £2.75bn but has stressed that it has no plans to pull out of the UK wholesale.

Axa UK said it would retain and invest in Axa Wealth to “achieve a leadership position for its wealth management business comprising its wrap platform (‘Elevate’), Architas Multi-Manager, Axa Wealth International and the Axa Winterthur pensions operations as well as its bancassurance business, the Sun Life Direct business and Bluefin Advisory Services”.
