Claims could increase by up to 50% during the month when new or upgraded iPhone models are introduced, according to Supercover Insurance. Director, Carmi Korine, said iPhone claims were investigated particularly carefully, and while he believed that around 40% might be categorised as 'questionable' during the new-model periods, around a quarter of them were rejected as being clearly very poor attempts at faking damage. The insurer also claimed that iPhone owners were 60% more likely to take out
