Groupama Insurances has announced plans to centralise its UK general insurance claims operations

Groupama Insurances has announced plans to centralise its UK general insurance claims operations.

If the proposals are confirmed following staff consultation, which was due to end by March, personal and commercial lines claims handling will be merged at the company's personal lines claims centre in Port Solent, near Portsmouth.

It would result in the phased closure of its commercial lines claims centre in Borehamwood, which currently employs more than 40 people and manages 40,000 claims for
