Telecoms company O2, in partnership with Mondial Assistance, is poised to expand into the travel insurance sector

Telecoms company O2, in partnership with Mondial Assistance, is poised to expand into the travel insurance sector.

O2 Insurance will sell annual travel policies alongside Flow, a pay-monthly product that has been designed to allow customers to vary the level of cover on a trip-by-trip basis.

A spokeswoman from O2 confirmed it was launching into the travel insurance market but declined to give any further details. This was echoed by a spokeswoman for Mondial, who confirmed it had collaborated

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
