System implemented to improve broker relations
QBE has implemented a new claims management system to deliver business support across its European operations (EO) in a bid to improve broker service.
Following a review and evaluation process, the insurer selected Guidewire Software's ClaimCenter to provide its claims management software.
The insurer said the move aimed to ensure that it "continued to broaden its service capability to clients and brokers" and strengthened its claims capability.
Andrew McBride, claims director at QBE EO, said: "The implementation of this new system will ensure that QBE remains at the leading edge of claims capability. This step demonstrates QBE's continued commitment to its clients and brokers to deliver an expert and responsive claims service."
Olivier Faugère, vice-president of Europe, Middle East and Africa operations at Guidewire Software, commented: "This is an important milestone in our European and UK growth strategy. General insurers around the world recognise that ClaimCenter is the ideal system to help them manage their claims operations the way they want to."
Claim Center has been designed to operate as an end-to-end claims system for property and casualty general insurance.
Guidewire claimed that ClaimCenter's flexible business rules enabled claims organisations to optimise and monitor claim, allowing executives to define, enforce and continually refine their preferred claims handling practices.
"In addition, ClaimCenter uses a modern technology architecture, including a 100% web client and web services interface, which enables lower total cost of ownership in any environment," Guidewire added.
