First steps to move into Manchester market taken

Liberty International Underwriters (LIU) has revealed that it will establish a casualty-focused base in Birmingham as part of plans to widen its regional footprint.

Jonathan Powell, regional manager at LIU's Bristol office, explained the West Midlands city was currently covered by the Bristol office, but that the company was looking to recruit in the area because it was seen as an important regional centre.

The news came as the company announced its intention to boost its professional indemnity
