Never far from the headlines, Towergate once again kept the broker market talking with another restructure and high-profile leavers.

The first of the management team at LV which came on board after the 2006 takeover of ABC Group has now left the provider. Whereas at Hiscox and Allianz the focus was on bringing in claims specialists with a new UK and a new motor

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
