Brokers often stress the importance of having effective risk management procedures in place but many commercial clients are still blind to the benefits, as Gareth Carpenter reports

While brokers and insurers are keen to stress the importance of installing effective risk management procedures and updating sums insured, it would appear that many commercial clients are failing to see the value in taking such measures.

That is if the latest research from Axa is to be believed. A survey of 100 commercial brokers at the tail end of last year revealed their overwhelming concern that small and medium sized enterprise (SME) clients are under-insured. The problem is that
