Stories relating to healthcare and problems facing the NHS are rarely out of the media. With all this hype, providers could be forgiven for expecting individuals and organisations to turn to private medical insurance (PMI) for the solution. In reality, however, the market for PMI has not grown significantly for years. Consequently, providers may need to rely on more than just the public perception of the performance of the NHS to grow the market.
