A recent study has prompted Zurich to issue advice to small businesses to encourage them to take greater precautions with company vans and their contents.
The research revealed that 17% of small businesses had claimed for vehicle crime and that more than half of those incidents had occured in the last two years. Of those claiming, 42% said their vehicle had been stolen and the same amount said they had lost the contents within the van. Zurich suggested that this could equate to £1bn in stolen
