With the insurance industry on the brink of a new European order viathe EU Insurance Mediation Directive, the travel insurance sector hasappeared in the spotlight yet again - this time because of the ongoingdebate over the pros and cons of its inclusion within the new generalinsurance regulatory framework. It is now high time for the travelindustry to face up to the issue of regulation, and set down someguidelines to ensure future standards.
