The majority of Covid-19 business interruption claims focused on whether policies responded to disease or (non-damage) restriction in movement in a prescribed area. Of course, transparency over this topic is important, and various suggestions regarding the clarity of policy wording was the subject of a pragmatic report produced jointly by the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters and the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2012 (refreshed in 2019).
